A quick online search reveals there are many pages dedicated to the analysis of Donald Trump’s signature. In light of the past four years of his tenure in the White House and his previous seventy plus on this earth, it all seems rather unnecessary when almost everything is brazenly laid out in front of us. In fact, regardless of the draughtsmanship of his signature and all the meaning experts may extract from it, the truth behind Donald Trump is written there for all to see in his own hand as his alter ego; Anal Dummy. There is no deeper meaning to be found in the upstrokes and down strokes, loops or leanings of his confessional signature; it is what it is and so is he.

Bill Clinton, another alleged sex offender who rose to the highest office, once said there was nothing wrong with America that couldn’t be cured by what was right with America. It’s a well written quote which on the face of it rings true. Well, at least an aspirational truth because in the intervening decades, what is wrong with America has not been cured by what is right and the ledger is ever more one sided.
Looking in from beyond the shores of this weird country, it is hard to be indifferent to the outcome of the forthcoming elections. These elections will impact the entire planet but will be decided in a large part by people who care little about the world beyond their patch. However true or not this may be of other countries, none have anything like the impact of the US. To make matters even worse, the alternatives to US hegemony are sobering with China using Orwell’s 1984 and Black Mirror as instruction manuals in statecraft.
As options go there are few and none are good. The trouble is that democracy is becoming less and less democratic and representation isn’t representative of the electorate. However much Democrats and former Republicans decry Anal Dummy’s malignancy, they have been as much a part of the problem as Anal Dummy’s enablers. Continual Gerrymandering and voter suppression that hasn’t been squared up to, has allowed the system to be gamed. Anal Dummy is a symptom of an ailing democracy not the cause of it although he has added greatly to the rot.
In 2016, many former Obama voters got behind Anal Dummy imagining the toxic throwback might offer something better. There were also those who squinted hard enough to see only the tax breaks they might get and damn the rest of us. In 2020, there is no ethical or logically tenable position to take other than to end the chaotic grifting, corruption and mercenary, gun for hire politics of this presidency.
With all the threats, race baiting, taunting and toxicity of Anal Dummy’s re-election campaign, it will take a firm pull to withdraw Anal Dummy from political life. Doubtlessly his white supremacist supporters and those untroubled in their company will spit their dummies but if Anal Dummy is all that’s keeping them at bay, then the US is in even worse shape than was feared and that fight was always likely.

MAGA is among the dumbest things an Anal Dummy supporter could be or wear. Making America Great Again after four years of abject failure isn’t an achievable aim but just voting for the other guy will make it a bit better and easier to stomach.
Joe Biden might be like taking a flashlight with a dying battery for a walk in the dark but Anal Dummy is no picture of health, mental or physical. In some kind of Hunger Games mindset the US parties bizarrely chose two septuagenarians as presidential candidates in a pandemic that is especially hard on the aged. As such it is a good idea to look at their understudies. If Trump dies or is incapacitated even more than currently evident, his replacement is Mike Pence, a religious fanatic, with less discernible charisma and fewer signs of life than the Turin shroud. A spineless man so scared by repressed impulses towards women that he won’t be in a room with one unaccompanied; a sad, empty, colourless shell who calls his wife Mom.
On the other side if Biden loses another yard off the pace, there is a woman who like her or not, is a professional attorney and Senator. For now the word professional appeals as it has seldom done before and that’s qualification enough after the amateur antics of the past four years. Either way, once Anal Dummy is withdrawn from the White House, America will need a reset and there will be a debt to pay for the votes that made it possible. Ignoring that will bring forward another Anal Dummy. If voters can hold their noses and vote Democrat, then politicians had better acknowledge it with action.
Life is full of difficult choices. Some lead to better or worse outcomes and some lead nowhere at all. This time however, any American with a thought for the rest of the world has it simple. There is a job to do and unfortunately they are the only ones who can do it. So do it they must.
With Anal Dummy currently in hospital with Covid having overseen the deaths of more than two hundred thousand Americans through his gross mishandling of the pandemic; the most charitable I can be is indifferent to his wellbeing. I don’t wish him death; I wish him to lose by an incontestable landslide alongside all his facilitators and enablers. The work to restore America’s standing can then begin as the rest of us watch and wonder what’s next.
